In the above print-screen the application presents the number of days during which the AIS, ALERT, MRS and PORTPLUS Notifications are taken into consideration by the various functionalities of the system.
For instance the system will not retrieve Incidents Notifications older than 1827 days when searching for such Notifications via the Graphical User Interface. Similar is the use of the respective periods for AIS and MRS.
The system uses the above parameters also as retention period for the various message types. The association between the message types and the respective retention period is the following:
| Message Type | Notification Parameter | Retention Period in Days |
|---|---|---|
| MS2SSN_Ship_Not | MRS_PERIOD | 180 |
| MS2SSN_PortPlus_Not | PORTPLUS_PERIOD | 180 |
| MS2SSN_Exemption_Not | EXEMPTION_PERIOD | 7300 |
| MS2SSN_IncidentDetail_Not | ALERT_PERIOD | 2000 |
| All other types | OTHER_PERIOD | 180 |
The PORTPLUS_PERIOD on the other hand is used only also by the Voyage Correlation process which does not take into consideration PortPlus Notifications older than 120 days when these Notifications are associated with a particular Voyage.
